Why Good Employees Leave?

A study came up with this surprising finding, if you are losing good people, look to their immediate supervisor. More than any other single reason, he is the reason people stay and thrive in an organization. And he's the reason why they quit, taking their knowledge, learn the internal basic strategy, company environment and so on.

“People leave managers not companies” write the authors marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman. “So much money has been thrown at the challenge of keeping good people-in the form of better pay, better perks and better training- when,in the end, turnover is mostly a manager issue.”

If you ever face these kind of turnover problem, look first to your managers and supervisors because may be he is confused and feeling insecure because of the superior quality of the newly hired employee in the organization. It happens because each and everything new hired employee will learn from his superior, so if there is any lack of intention to teach the subordinate in that case he or she will find an ocean without a ship.

Supervisor can lead the subordinate in any situation because supervisor is backed by organization power.

Beyond a point, an employee’s primary need has less to do with money, and more with how he's treated and how valued he feels, Much of this depends on the immediate manager.
