What is Volume Variance ?
This means quantity variance. The difference between actual production and budgeted production is called volume variance. It can be calculated by hours. If actual production > budgeted production than its favorable and when actual production < budgeted production than its adverse. If budgeted hours > standard hours then it's favorable and if budgeted hours < standard hour then it's adverse :)
