Neuralink, owned by Elon Musk, has developed a device suitable for implantation in the human brain to restore vision to the visually impaired. The company has already received permission from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to implant a miniature device called 'Blindsight' in the human brain for experimental purposes. If everything goes well, the device will be implanted in the human brain for experimental purposes within this year.

At a recent event in the United States, Elon Musk said that by the end of this year, this new technology will be installed in the human brain for the first time, which will restore vision to blind people. Initially, the device will be able to see low-resolution images. However, over time, the technology will improve. One day, it may become better than normal human vision. Promising results have been obtained using this technology on monkeys over the past few years.

According to Neuralink, Blindsight is a prosthetic device made of microelectrodes that will be placed in the visual cortex of the brain. It will help blind people see images captured by cameras through neurons in the brain.

Neuralink said that by using Blindsight, those who have both eyes and optic nerves completely useless will also be able to see. In a post on the microblog site X (Twitter), Musk said that people born blind will also be able to see for the first time with the help of this technology.
