Elon Musk and the executive of Neuralink welcome their third child. This is the current count of his children.

According to Bloomberg News, Elon Musk and Neuralink Corp. director of special projects, Shivon Zilis, welcomed their third kid earlier this year. Musk is the CEO of Neuralink, the company he founded that makes brain implants.

In an interview with the New York Post, Musk confirmed the birth of his third child with Zilis, but he did not reveal the child's name or gender. Musk told the publication that the birth of his most recent child was not kept a secret: "As for'secretly fathered,' that is also false. All our friends and family know. Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean'secret.'" Neuralink did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Prior to the birth of Musk's second child, a baby girl named Exa Dark Siderael Musk, with musician Grimes, in 2021, Musk and Zilis already had twins. With a fortune estimated at $207 billion, Musk is the second richest person in the world and supports increasing the global birth rate. He stated in a 2022 tweet that a decline in births is "the biggest danger civilization faces by far" and that he is "doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis."

"Many countries are already well below replacement rate, and the trend is that almost all will be," Musk told the Washington Post. "This is simply a fact, not a 'debunked theory.'"

From one billion people in 1900, the world's population has increased to approximately eight billion today, and by 2045, it is expected to reach nine billion. But in recent decades, birth rates have decreased in a number of affluent nations, from South Korea to the United States. These countries' birth rates have fallen short of the replacement rate, which is commonly understood to be 2.1 children per woman.

The OECD recently noted that declining birth rates in wealthy nations provide significant economic and social concerns, including increased financial demand on public services and pensions like Social Security. According to the OECD, adults are delaying having children for a variety of reasons, such as the difficulty of juggling a work and a family and the scarcity of reasonably priced homes for families.

What is Elon Musk's current child count?

Musk is the father of twelve children by three women.

With Canadian author Justine Wilson, whom Musk married from 2000 until 2008, the CEO of Tesla has six children. According to Wilson's story in Marie Claire, their first child passed away at the age of ten weeks due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDS.

In 2004, the couple welcomed twins Gryphon and Vivian, and in 2006, they welcomed a triplet, Kai, Saxon, and Damian.

Along with artist Grimes, Musk is also the father of three kids. Their first child, X Æ A-12, was born in March 2020, and Exa Dark Siderael, their second child, was born in 2021. Techno Mechanicus, their third child, was born in 2023.

Musk and Zilis are parents to three children, Strider and Azure, who are twins. He and Zilis welcomed their third kid, whose name is still unknown to the world, earlier this year.

Shivon Zilis: Who is he?

According to her LinkedIn profile, Zilis, a Yale graduate, started working at Neuralink in 2017. Her biography by Walter Isaacson refers to her as Musk's "intellectual companion on artificial intelligence since the founding of OpenAI."

According to LinkedIn, Zilis was an adviser to OpenAI from 2016 to 2019 and sat on the board from 2020 to 2023. In addition, she holds a fellowship at the University of Toronto's Creative Destruction Lab, which she characterises in her bio as an incubator for machine learning.
