DuckDuckGo is becoming increasingly popular with its demands for maximum protection of users' personal privacy. In recent years, search engine giants like Google and Yahoo have raised questions about the security of consumers looking for a secure search engine. In 2021, the number of daily searches in DuckDuckGo exceeded 100 million. The search engine activity has expanded by about 47 percent this year. News Tech Times.

According to a report by Bleeping Computer over the weekend, the US-based search engine Pennsylvania has shown strong year-over-year growth. Although Google has a one-sided dominance in this sector, people in different parts of the world have started using this safe search engine. In December 2020, Dakdakgo set a daily record of 79 million searches. Last December, the total search was 2,360 crore. In the last month of this year, 100 million daily searches have been recorded. With four days left, a total of 3,460 crores have been searched in December. Compared to 2020, the search has increased by 46.4 percent this year.

However, Bleeping Computer thinks that DuckDuckGo has a lot of room for improvement in establishing itself as a search engine. Despite the impressive growth this year, DuckDuckGo lags far behind its rival search engines in market share. Search engine giant Google has a market share of 87.33 percent. DuckDuckGo's market share is only 2.53 percent. Their rivals Yahoo and Bing had a market share of 3.3 and 6.43 percent, respectively. DuckDuckGo is working with a desktop web browser to expand its market share. Last week, the company's CEO Gabriel Weinberg said that the desktop web browser is in the development phase.

Online security has become extremely important to users in recent years. There have been a number of cases where technology giants have been transferring customer data and information to third parties. A separate report from Spread Privacy states that the search engine giant was storing users' information when searching on Google. DuckDuckGo does not have such a feature of data storage and that. Where the top search engines for advertising collect customer data and share it with third parties, DuckDuckGo gives customers complete security.

Search engines have e-mail protection services to keep users safe from e-mail tracking. They are providing protection from app tracking on Android phones. This will protect personal data from third-party attacks. Technology giants like Facebook and Google Chrome have been tracking apps to capture skyrocketing revenue from advertising.

In a recent blog post, DuckDuckGo stated that ensuring personal security in any search, browsing, e-mail, and various services is our priority. There are no complicated settings, no confusing warnings, no different levels of personal security. The default form for all users is maximum customer security.
