BNP's call for national unity in one-sided demand for the fall of the government

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called for the formation of 'national unity' with the opposition political parties and organizations in a one-point demand for the government's downfall. This unity was called for in a press release signed by Mirza Fakhrul on Friday (July 26).

In the press release, BNP Secretary General said, "For the greater good of the nation at this time of crisis, for the restoration of the spoiled democracy and voting rights, for the liberation of the disenfranchised people and the nation, we have united all the democratic political parties, social and cultural organizations, individuals and forces of the country on the basis of the above minimum one point and demands." I am calling for the formation of national unity.

It is also said that we are calling for national unity among all parties and alliances of the simultaneous movement under the leadership of BNP, all political parties of left and right, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and other religious and Islamic political parties and organizations.

Mirza Fakhrul said consent could be given through a statement due to time and communication constraints. Mirza Fakhrul also said that a joint statement with the signatures of all those who agreed will be issued soon. He also expressed hope that this historical declaration and document of national unity would speed up the liberation of the country and nation.
