Chinese Government Permitted 40 Minutes of TikTok use for Chinese Children

The Chinese TikTok version is called Doin. Chinese children will not be able to use this app for more than 40 minutes a day. This rule will be applicable to children below 14 years of age. Children will be able to use Doin or TikTok for 40 minutes every 24 hours from their real name account.

ByteDance, the founder company of Doin, announced in a blog post that Doin will be their first short-length video app that manages time.

The controlled app is being launched keeping in mind that the Chinese government is being strict about the use of technology for young people. There is no minimum age for using this app. However, the use of this app must require parental approval. The minimum age for TikTok users is 13 years.

ByteDance's blog post says, "We are very strict about young app users. We will continue to strive to provide quality content. So that young people can learn more and know the world better. ”
