lead time is a time given by the manu-facturer. Mostly buyer can fixed up lead time. So now we go for what is lead time, it is a time period to get the post products or manufactured products. I am giving an example which will make more clear concept: Company A want to purchase 10,000 jute bags from fiodi company, here fiodi company will want a time for the products production from the buyer. Demanded time could be for few hours, days , one week, one month this period of time is called lead time.Manufacturers are always looking for ways to improve the lead time on their products.Proper lead time from the Manufacturers could add value for their further business and also can add some image in the competative market. Shortly we can say time period for the production is called lead time.
